What is an arborist?

Arboriculture is the care of trees and shrubs, particularly in urban settings. An arborist is a professional who cares for trees and other woody plants by pruning, fertilizing, monitoring for insects and diseases, consulting on tree related issues, and occasionally planting and removing trees.

Everyone in our company who consults with our clients on tree care is a certified arborist.  Our certified arborists receive their credentials through the International Society of Arboriculture. You are assured when you hire our company, you will be dealing with professionals who have access to the most recent information on tree care practices, including safety, pruning, fertilizing and cabling standards.

Do you do tree work through the winter? How can you prune trees in the winter when the leaves are off?

As winter approaches, one of the most often asked question is, “Do you prune trees in the winter?”   Our skilled, trained arborists can tell live branches from dead branches at any time of the year. In fact it is often easier to distinguish dead branches when the leaves are gone.
